Inside the Mind of a Maniac
Ever wonder what I think about? Me too, I need to write them and you're welcome to read them.
About Me
- Name: Carolyn
- Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States
One of my key beliefs is that freckles are awesome and I feel sorry for those without them. I love bananas but really don't like touching the inside of the peel or the strange stringy parts. I'm liberal, laughy, and often loud (which confuses people when I swear I'm afflicted with social anxiety). I can NEVER stay mad, don't carry resentments, and don't hold grudges against evil-doers (unless they threaten my constitutional rights). I'm happiest when I'm moving around (running, chasing, being chased, making my heard beat fast). I'm strangely divided in many ways: paranoid of my personal safety but often trusting of strangers, laid back but COMPLETELY OCD, to some I'm emotionally closed off and unavailable but to others I'm a river of emotions and affection, I'm self-assured and confident about things that are real but can be insecure and self-deprecating about things that either aren't real or don't matter, I'm lactose intolerant but will eat ice cream until I'm ill.

Fire spinning? Is that like baton twirling, but with inflammable materials?
The question is sincere (except for the part about inflammable baton twirling). I honestly don't know what fire spinning is.
Q
You should have lied and said you were a professional fire-spinner, the photo looks great.
Now, lets get down to business. Can I interest you in a cult?
Q,
Fire spinning can actually be kind of like baton twirling...but the ends of the baton would be covered in kevlar, dipped in white gas, and lit on fire. Here's a link that explains a lot, there's also a fire video on it. http://www.thevenue.org/firespinning.htm
I spin with poi (loops that cinch around the fingers and the wicks (kevlar balls, basically) are attached to ball chains about the length of my arms.
It's really fun, we practice at the City Museum and vacant lots downtown...it's more social for me than anything. It's a group called Pandora's Matchbox and there are people that use poi, staffs, fire eating/breathing, etc.

Hope that answered your question.
Pope,
Thanks for the complement...I'm definitely not professional...but not terrible either. On another note, please do not come to my site to advertise your own. Thanks.
